Artwork Bleed

Bleed is the term for printing that goes right to the edge of the paper. Printed pieces that have a white border or white around the edges, DO NOT bleed.

If you have images or backgrounds that you want to print (bleed) off the edge of the paper, then you must design your job larger than the final CUT SIZE. We create bleeds by actually cutting through the enlarged image/background.

If the final trim size of the magnet was 90 x 55mm then you would start your design template with 2mm bleed added to each edge of the design. The template for a 90x55mm magnet would be 94x59mm.

When setting up your design you would place some guide lines on the final cut / trim lines so you would know exactly where the cut would be in the final stages of production.

All text should be 4mm away from the final cut line. If you have a solid boarder around the outside of your magnet then it should be at least 4mm wide inside the final cut line. Boarders that are too thin will not trim well and may look uneven.
