Magnet Promotional Advertising Products For All Business Types

Author: Robert Barber

Plumbers. Veterinarians. Realtors. HVAC. Insurance Agents. Restaurants. Those are just a few of the businesses that ought to be using magnetic business cards and calendars to promote themselves. C'mon…depending on which product you choose to advertise with, they can cost less than a quarter each. Magnetic promotional products do overtime when compared to standard business cards and similar items. Magnets end up on refrigerators at home, or on computer cases or cabinets in the work place. There, they are seen on a regular basis by everyone passing by. None magnetic cards are hidden in a Rolodex or file cabinet somewhere. Nobody sees them.

The Importance
It's well known in the advertising industry that it takes more than one fleeting glimpse of an advertisement before it "registers" with the viewer. Some experts indicate that up to eight exposures are required before the person seeing it becomes comfortable with it. That's why you see/hear TV/Radio ads over and over. They are simply pounding the information into the minds of the people.

Magnets Are Kinder And Gentler
Unlike obnoxious broadcast ads that are "in your face," magnetic promotional products are much more passive. Each time a guy gets something from the fridge, he is subtly exposed to your business. When someone refers to your magnetic calendar, they will see your business name, and perhaps a flattering picture of you or your facility. Eventually they'll need your product or service. Are they going to throw a dart at the phone book and call some stranger? Nope. They are going to recall your business card or calendar. They will have developed a bond with your or your business from the constant exposure and will call you, or stop in your store. It may not make sense, but it's human nature. That's just how we are.

Styles
There are scads of magnetic calendars and cards from which to choose. Some are cut into shapes, such as a house shape, with is very popular with realtors. Other magnets look like vehicles. You also have the more familiar rectangle products. Check out your vendor and see what's available. Have them put a photo of your or your building on it. Include a description of your product or service, and of course, your phone number, address and Internet address.

Like I said above, for as little as 25 cents each, you can have your advertisement on hundreds…or thousands…of refrigerators, computer cases, tool boxes, cash registers and cabinets. The exposure could be phenomenal.
